ARE YOU AT HOME TONIGHT, OR JUST VISITING?

One challenge all real estate people face is managing their focus:

There is WORK mode and HOME mode.

I have worked from my home office now for 13 years and always faced the challenge of stopping work mode and being "present at home."  Just like your evening phone calls, open home call backs and email.

"I'll just go and check my emails, be back soon."

And it turns into two or three hours of work mode, not home mode.

So I have made a decision!

Today I start working from commercial office premises.

That means to be "at work" I have to physically go to work. That means that when I am home I am not "at work", I am home.

Feels great!

Being present in either mode, when appropriate, is the key to a calmer, happier and more successful life and relationship.

It also means that when "AT WORK" I am truly focused. Nice!
