Hi [name] and welcome to my Weekly Insight for Monday 30th July 2012
Quote for the week
"Gratitude for the abundance you have received is the best insurance that the abundance will continue.

I have spent most of last week on the road and in doing that have had a few Business Owners and Salespeople relate some very interesting tales.
One such experience made me think.
This particular salesperson had spent all weekend running open homes and as is her usual practice, she sent texts to her vendors after each open home to update with feedback on how it went.
You can imagine her surprise to find a message on her cell phone late Sunday night from one of vendors, questioning her level of survice as they were upset that they hadn't heard how the open home had progressed.
On checking her phone she noticed that the text message had failed to send. We spoke about it and I pointed out to her that yes it was fair for her to be upset, but more importantly she needed to recognise the very strong motivation shown by this message.
Her client's reaction is an indication of a stronger motivation to progress the sale than they verbally want to declare.
So sometimes you need to measure your reaction to what you think might be a criticism and accept that it may be a declaration of their real motivation.
Rather than treating the call as a negative, receive it with gratitude. It may appear that sometimes a person's reaction is very ungracious. It could be! However, it is up to you to stay positive and move forward. Easier said than done sometimes!
And further more, the client's life might be more peaceful and positive if they sought feedback more graciously.
Let's be grateful for the opportunity to sell their property and may they be grateful we are working really hard, including all weekend to achieve their sale.
If there is no gratitude, is it time to question the value of the opportunity?
