Hi [name] and welcome to my Weekly Insight for Monday 16th March 2009
Short cuts leave you short
These are interesting times for many of us and whilst we don't focus on the media and the negative, it's hard to avoid hearing about it all, when we talk with so many people.
You can't insulate yourself completely from it. But you can manage your response to it all.
This is a time that demands more effort, more commitment, more persistence. Last week I drove 1200km calling on old clients and friends. Let me tell you it was more than worth it. Work is there if you go looking for it. No short cuts for me in this market. But I came across an interesting observation.
There is a clear difference between those prospering in sales and those languishing. Those languishing and complaining are still asking for the quick fix, the easy way, the "golden bullet". Those who are prospering are doing the "hard-yards." This is not a market for short cuts.
Make sure your week is full of "hard yards" this week. NO SHORT CUTS!.
